SABYA SACHI GHOSH
Sabya Sachi Ghosh is a self taught artist, an educator and an avid rider. His art is inspired by his desire to leave a mark in the minds of the onlookers. He gets his inspiration from everything that he comes across on his travels. However he does not impress those mental images on his canvas on a realistic mode but primarily does abstract works, some of which are by nature hyper-realistic. Being a self taught artist, he has over the years through a lot of trial and error and manifold experimentation burnished his art to find a synthesis between realism and abstraction. He believes that his art takes him on to a higher plane of understanding through which he satisfies his creative ego.
Being a solo rider, who primarily visits lesser known historical sites strewn across India, he has so far covered 80% of the country's historical sites on his Royal Enfield Motorcycle. Some of the places that he has been to often are not on any tourist map. Besides these sites holding immense historical value, are also endowed with natural beauty that defies description.
This website is a compendium of his paintings and rides.
As an artist he has done several solo exhibitions and has participated in several group shows in India and abroad. He lives in Kolkata/Agra/Shimla with his wife, who is a major pillar of support and inspiration.
